Read more about Don’s role, what brought him to Revolv, and what he’s looking forward to as the EV fleet segments continue to grow:

What is your background?

I began my career in the truck rental and leasing business where I served in a variety of executive positions including Vice President for Ryder Transportation Services. In 1999, I left Ryder to create Kelley Fleet Services, a company that provided dedicated fleet management services to some of the largest private fleets in America. That company quickly expanded throughout the U.S. and in 2010, through a strategic relationship with Amerit, I founded KelleyAmerit Fleet Services, which became one of the largest mobile fleet management companies in the U.S. and continues today under the name Amerit Fleet Solutions.

I left KelleyAmerit in 2011 and have since held the President & CEO position with VehiCare Fleet Solutions, a division of Clarke Power Services. In 2022 I was named President SVT Fleet Solutions, a division of Velocity Vehicle Group. The companies I have led over the past 20 years are all premier fleet management companies in their particular segment, something I am very proud of.

What is your role at Revolv?

I lead a team of fleet professionals that oversee all fleet operations which includes everything from the initial selection of the electric vehicle for our client to the day-to-day operations of those vehicles and all the support resources required to maximize their performance.

What attracted you to Revolv?

As the need for sustainable solutions has increased, it has become clear that the electrification movement is going to cause a seismic shift for traditional transportation companies and service providers. I was attracted to Revolv because of the company’s vision, aspirations and their impressive executive team, led by CEO Scott Davidson. I have spent my entire career helping companies manage their traditional ICE fleets and I saw the opportunity to leverage my experience and help corporates transition to a more sustainable fleet solution.

What excites you the most about the EV fleet industry?

In a word…everything! First and foremost, the opportunity to have a positive impact on the world. Zero-emission fleets are here to stay and Revolv provides customized solutions for fleets of all sizes. For most companies, the transition to EVs can be overly complex and puzzling, much like trying to solve a Rubik’s cube without a plan. Revolv has developed truly unique solutions to solve that “EV Rubik’s cube”…helping companies achieve their sustainability commitments.

What do you see as the future of fleets?

Fleets used to focus on getting their product/shipment from points A to B in the most efficient way possible with a constant eye on “TCO”, the total cost of ownership. While that remains critically important to fleets of all sizes, the world demands equal focus on “how” transportation is done and the impact it plays on our global environment. That’s where sustainability metrics come into play and how they must become part of the equation when mapping out fleet strategy.   Our vision at Revolv is a world moved without emissions, by transportation that improves the human experience. That’s the future.

What is one fun fact about you?

I love golf and have only hit one “hole in one” in my entire life. That first and only “hole in one” happened in 2002 at the world-famous 7th Hole at Pebble Beach! Now THAT was fun!
